Emilie E. Kuijt (Ph.D. Resercher) Leiden University, Faculty of Law
Emilie Kuijt is a PhD-Fellow at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies of Leiden University, writing her thesis under the supervision of Prof. Nico Schrijver. Her Ph.D. research concentrates on the legal framework concerning the delivery and receipt of humanitarian assistance, as well as the relationship with state sovereignty. While visiting the Cegla Center, Emilie focused on reserching the duties states have in the provision of humanitarian assistance, and possible rights that international organizations may have in offering and providing it, in relationship with state sovereignty. |

Andrew Mark Bennett (Ph.D Resercher) Freie Universität Berlin, Law Department
Andrew Mark Bennett researches national security law and policy. He received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was a leadership scholar, and his A.B. in Economics from Vassar College. He has written on the international law governing new weapons technology, genocide under Jewish and international law, and judicial forums for trying alleged terrorists. While at the Cegla Center, Andrew primarily focused on analyzing the role of judicial deference in national security cases. |
