Law & Environment Program
Established in 2006, Tel Aviv University's Law & Environment Program (LEP) provides students and faculty members with academic resources dedicated to environmental legal issues. Widely acknowledged as one of Israel's leading programs in the field, LEP aims to explore and understand today's most pressing national and international environmental challenges, in order to develop creative and practical public policy-shaping solutions and initiatives.
The program is built upon the success of TAU Law's Environmental Justice Program, active since 2001 (as part of the Faculty's Clinical Legal Education Program).
The LEP encourages and supports environmental law related research and teaching by faculty members, as well as student research and writing in the field.
We also hold seminars, conferences, lectures and other events devoted to analysis of current environmental issues such as climate change, energy production, pollution, environmental justice and more.
