Book Symposium: Prof. Yanni Kotsonis, States of Obligation: Taxes and Citizenship in the Russian Empire and Early Soviet Republic

The Berg Institute for Law and History will host a special guest-lecture that will on Prof. Yanni Kotsonis' upcoming book: States of Obligation: Taxes and Citizenship in the Russian Empire and Early Soviet Republic (Toronto, 2014). Prof. Kotsonis is the Founding Director of the Jordan Center at NYU and an acclaimed historian of Russia. His expertise includes Russian economic history and political economy. The book symposium is scheduled to take place at the Sonia Kossoy Conference Room (307), on the 3rd floor of the Faculty of Law Trubowicz Building. Commentators will include Prof. Assaf Likhovski, the Associate Dean for Research at TAU Law and Former Director of the Berg Institute, and Dr. Dina Moyal, Director of TAU Israeli Inter‐University Academic Partnership in Russian and East European Studies.
