Biography

Tamara Lotner Lev is a  PhD. Candidate at the Zvi Meitar Center for Advanced Legal Studies. Tamara Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Latin American Studies from the Hebrew University (magna cum laude), and M.A  in Public Policy from Tel Aviv University (magna cum laude). Her academic fields of interest are the triangle of law, environment and energy, and the wider arenas of policy and regulation relating to them. Her current research, under the supervision of Dr. David Schorr, concerns the environmental regulation on offshore drilling industry. Her thesis research dealt with civil liability and insurance for environmental damages from offshore oil and gas industry, and its conclusions were published in a policy paper and were presented in conferences. During 2012-13 she was a researcher at the Law and Environment Program in TAU faculty of law. She is currently teaching in the Academic Center for Law and Business. Tamara previously worked as a lawyer, as a legal reporter for a big economic newspaper, and led several environmental business projects.
