Research
Excellence in research is a fundamental pillar of the TAU Law ethos. The Faculty is internationally-renowned for its high quality research, which is ranked annually first out of hundreds of non-American law faculties.
Our faculty members produce cutting-edge work in a wide range of legal fields, publish groundbreaking and influential articles in leading law reviews, and numerous books that are published by the world's leading and largest academic publishing houses. Many of our faculty members are regular lecturers at top law schools in the US and Europe.
Theoretical Inquiries in Law, the Faculty’s flagship English-language journal, is ranked by the Washington and Lee University School of Law first among hundreds of non-US law reviews and journals. Other leading publications in Hebrew include TAU Law Review (Iyunei Mishpat); Law, Society & Culture ; Dine Yisrael: Studies in Halacha and Jewish Law and TAU Journal of Law and Social Change (Ma'asei Mishpat).
The Faculty is home to a variety of research centers and institutes, all of which are central nodes on the global research map. Amongst these are: the Zvi Meitar Center for Advanced Legal Studies, Cegla Center for Interdisciplinary Research, the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, David Berg Foundation Institute for Law and History, Minerva Center for Human Rights, Taubenschlag Institute of Criminal Law, and Batya and Isachar Fischer Center for Corporate Governance and Capital Markets Regulation.
We also host various workshops, international conferences and symposia that allow researchers from TAU and other law institutes to present and discuss works in progress and exchange ideas on a wide range of topics, in an informal atmosphere.
The Faculty is proud of its consistent research record and works relentlessly to support and improve it, meet new challenges, and maintain its position as a leading academic institution. Our centers and institutes, publications in English and Hebrew, synergy between teaching and research, and above all the academic excellence of our faculty and students, make TAU Law a leader in legal research.
