Global@TAU Law

A leader in international collaborations and research exchange

TAU Law is recognized worldwide for its many academic achievements and is consistently ranked one of the top law schools outside the US. The Faculty’s global mission is exemplified by its world-leading research; quality of international students and scholars; wide array of courses taught in English, and overall strength of its international research programs and academic collaborations.

The Faculty attracts every year dozens of visiting professors to take part in cutting-edge legal research and teach courses in a wide range of fields. Among our research programs is the GlobalTrust Project - a a five-year Grant dedicated to study the obligations of states to foreign stakeholders, which is funded by the European Research Council Advanced Grant, and directed by Prof. Eyal Benvenisti

International scholars also partake in a variety of short and long-term research fellowships offered by The Cegla Center for Interdisciplinary Research of the Law, The Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, and other research centers and institutes within the Faculty.

Our comprehensive curriculum ensures that all students can participate in a range of global legal programs. At the heart of the Faculty's international academic efforts is the International Masters of Laws (LL.M.), which is taught entirely in English. The year-long program draws students from countries all over the world to come study at TAU Law.

Israeli lawyers can choose from joint LL.M. programs with UC Berkeley (focusing on Commercial Law) or Northwestern University (focusing on Public Law), both of which include substantial international components.

TAU Law's LL.B. students can choose to study a semester abroad through our Student Exchange Programs with partner universities in the US, Europe and Asia. In addition, Study Abroad Possibilities (OSP) are offered to students of institutions which are not part of a formal exchange program with the Faculty.

We also enjoy an annual increase of Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral students who join TAU Law after studying at leading academic institutes in Israel and around the world. Our Ph.D. program – one of the largest in the country - is held at The Zvi Meitar Center for Advanced Legal Studies, which is widely recognized as the leading research institute in Israel for graduate and post-graduate legal studies.

The Faculty's range of postdoctoral fellowship opportunities for Israeli and international researchers include unique scholarships and fellowship resources, and in particular, the Zvi Meitar Fellowship Program for Researchers from India, China and Taiwan

TAU Law's Faculty consists of outstanding researchers in virtually every major field of law, who enjoy national and international reputation. Our full-time faculty members are regularly invited to teach as visiting professors at the world's leading law schools, and to participate in the most respected conferences and other global legal activities.
