Edmond J.Safra Center For Ethics conference: Vengeance – Between Law and Psychotherapy
16 November 2015, 0:00
This public conference explores the meeting point of legal and psychoanalytic thinking on “vengeance”. In both disciplines, this concept bears different meanings, connotations and understandings, while for the legal scholar, revenge in contradiction to justice is subjective and emotional, for the psychotherapist justice too is emotional and subjective. The conference will open with a lecture on vengeance given by an expert from each of the two disciplines. On the following day, each panel will be structured as a dialogue between a legal scholar and a psychotherapist. The Conference is in collaboration with the School of Psychology at Tel Aviv University.
