The M. Firon and Co. Labor, Employment & Welfare Workshop
Prof. Guy Mundlak, Prof. Hila Shamir
The world of work is undergoing rapid transformation and challenges the traditional premises of labor and welfare law. The workshop facilitates the meeting of students with researchers from Israel and abroad who are engaged in research on the adaptation of labor and welfare law with the changing nature of the labor market and the welfare state. Presentations will deal, inter alia, with questions of globalization, discrimination and identity, growing inequality, technological change and the ever-changing nature of institutions (e.g., trade unions).
The workshop seeks to expose students to current research, as well as to classic texts and to develop a critical skills.
