Zeev Pearl

Zeev Pearl, founder and Managing Partner of Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer Baratz (“Pearl Cohen”) attended TAU Law while earning his Master of Science at the Weizmann Institute of Science. “I decided to practice intellectual property law since I realized that as a scientist I will be using various scientific tools to tackle a problem, while as an IP lawyer I’ll use the same tools to solve a wide host of issues which seemed to suit me better” says Zeev. “Therefore, I decided to attend TAU law at night to receive the necessary toolset to practice law, which I love doing to this very day.”

Zeev graduated in 1992 and went on to intern both as an attorney and a patent attorney at Scitex corporation, one of the flagships of Israeli High-Tech at the time, and Sanford T. Colb & Co., an IP boutique law firm . In 1994, Zeev joined Tally Eitan in private practice. “These were good times for the start-up industry, lawyers included, and the firm quickly grew from 5 to about 100 lawyers and staff members”. In 2002, at the wake of the tech bubble burst Zeev and his partners decided to expand geographically and opened an office in New York. “Our intellectual property practice in Israel was U.S. focused. I was already spending about one week a month in the U.S. at that time, so opening an office in New York was a natural move, and the relocation went smoothly.” Pearl Cohen has gradually expanded its practice into corporate, commercial and dispute resolution areas, and is now a full service international law firm.

Today, Zeev's practice includes advising multi-national corporations regarding intellectual property and litigation matters in Israel and practicing before the USPTO for Israeli, US and other clients. Most of his clients are in the fields of telecommunication, clean tech, software, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Zeev and his partners emphasize the firm’s global, full service approach operating from offices in Israel, the United States and England including practice groups in Israel specializing in the former Soviet Union and Latin America.

Zeev is also a dedicated spouse and father of 3 adult children. In his spare time he likes to read, hike, ski and play squash.
