Congratulations to Prof. Menachem Mautner on winning the Mifal Hapais Landau Prize for the Sciences in the Law category.

The Landau Prize is awarded each year by Mifal Hapais (National Lottery of Israel) to researchers who have attained outstanding achievements in a particular field and who have made a valuable contribution to the promotion of science and research in Israel.

Prof. Mautner is the Danielle Rubinstein Professor of Comparative Civil Law and Jurisprudence at the Buchmann Faculty of Law. A former Dean of the Faculty (2000-2002), Prof. Mautner researches and teaches in contract law, jurisprudence, law and culture, and multiculturalism. He is the outgoing chief editor of Law, Society and Culture (LSC), and aside from academia, has been active in various public and social causes over the years.
