Biography
Maytal Bar-Hai is a Ph.D candidate in the direct PhD program at the Zvi Meitar Center for Advanced Legal Studies at the Tel-Aviv University Law Faculty. Her dissertation, supervised by Prof. Ariel Porat, seeks to establish a theoretical framework for deduction of benefits from damages awarded within tort law.
Maytal received her LL.B. in Law and Cognitive Science, magna cum laude, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. While at the Hebrew University, Maytal was Editor-in-Chief of the Hebrew University Law Review. She later served as a Law Clerk and a Senior Law Clerk for Justice Eliezer Rivlin, Deputy President (Ret.) of the Supreme Court of Israel and for Justice Asher D. Grunis, President (Ret.) of the Supreme Court of Israel.
