The conference presented by Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law, the Israel Antitrust Authority and Haifa University on June 11-12, convened some of the world’s leading authorities on antitrust policy. The event focused on how the rise of the digital economy has created new challenges for antitrust enforcement and whether the emergence of online platforms generates efficiencies and disrupts markets.
In a speech delivered via video, U.S. Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim, , gave his first public remarks on the issue since news reports that the department was preparing to investigate Alphabet Inc.’s Google.
