Luiza graduated in Law from the University of São Paulo, completed her LL.M. at Tel Aviv University and is currently doing her Ph.D. at Tel Aviv University, researching privacy, dark patterns and fairness in data protection. In 2016, she received a Marie-Curie Fellowship (Privacy&Us), and in 2020, she received from the President of Israel the "President's Scholarship for Excellence in Science and Innovation."
Before starting her Ph.D., for six years she worked as a lawyer in São Paulo, dealing mainly with startup companies.
She is the author of three books in Portuguese: Laila - Série Completa (2015), Humanos, Acordem (2015) and O que Existe entre um Pensamento e Outro (2015), and organized the legal book Direito para Empreendedores (2016). In 2018, her legal article was published in the European Data Protection Law Review. She speaks Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Hebrew.
